A 19-year old Texas man is being held on a $40,000 bail after entering a woman’s home and trying to suck her blood like a vampire. The teen is awaiting psychiatric evaluation at the Galveston County jail.
Police found the man outside the woman’s apartment wearing only boxer shorts, growling, and insisting he was a 500-year old vampire who needed blood to survive. He has been charged with home burglary with the intent to commit a felony.
The woman whose apartment the teen entered did not know the man. Reports indicate that she was not harmed in the incident.

A Texas father was given a $500,000 bail after being charged with child abuse and abandonment. A coach at a nearby high school found the 4-year old boy abandoned on the side of Interstate 20 in Nolan County. When the boy was found, he was covered in cactus needles.
The boy’s father told police that he had a religious experience that told him to leave his son on the side of the road. The boy is currently being held by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
The 22-year old father is being held in jail with a half a million dollar bail. He is expected to go to trial sometime this month.

Two Central Texas high school students were recently arrested after their attempt at a senior class prank went wrong. The 17 and 18-year olds planned a prank to attempt to close the school for a day by disabling school buses and gluing doors shut. The students cut the fan belts on 8 of 10 of the school’s buses
Rather than successfully shut down the campus, the prank was reported to have caused $13,100 in damage to school district property.
The seniors attend Thrall High School. Both were arrested and taken to the Williamson County jail and charged with criminal mischief. The two teens were later released after each making a $7,500 bail.

Last month, a man from Big Spring, Texas was arrested and charged with a first-degree felony for illegal drug sale after an undercover Texas Department of Public Safety officer purchased 3 ounces of cocaine from him in a Wal-Mart parking lot.
The 32-year old man was arrested and held at the Midland DPS office. Officers searched the man’s vehicle and found another small package of cocaine, probably weighing about 4 ounces, prepared to be sold.
After this discovery, officers transferred the man from the DPS office to the Midland County Jail. The specific charge was for first-degree felony of manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams. Officials set a bond of $500,000 but he is currently being considered ineligible for bond while his immigration status is checked.
